BIOBANK of Blood Donors at the Bio Europe 2015 in Munich

The Bio Europe conference took place from november 2nd-4th 2015 at the ICM (International Congress Center) of the "Messe München". The BioM Ltd. – the coordination point of the bavarian biotechnology cluster – organized a bavarian joint booth and therefore made it possible for 15 exhibitors – one of them the BIOBANK of Blood Donors – to present their business to a national and international audience within a bavarian framework. The Bio Europe conference with about 3500 participants from almost 60 different european countries is one of europe's largest partnering event in the field of biotech industry. The annual conference brings together representatives from different life science sectors, from the big biotech- and pharmaindustry to the innovative start-up.

Beside the exhibition numerous panel discussions about recent topic of biotechnology took place and different companies used the possibility to present their innovative ideas, strategies and products in informative talks.

The positive resonance of representatives from other european institutions to the infrastructure of the blood donation service and the resulting BIOBANK of Blood Donors has to be emphasized. Especially the willingness of the donors to support medical research by providing their donated blood samples got a very positive feedback.
